About The Event

The Toowoomba Wedding Expo, 16 August 2026

The Toowoomba Wedding Expo is run by Your Local Wedding Guide and returns to The Goods Shed on Sunday 16 August 2026, from 10am to 2pm. It's the Darling Downs' main wedding expo — a single day where a wide cross-section of local suppliers, from photographers and celebrants to florists, dress designers and reception venues, set up under one roof for engaged couples to visit.

The venue itself is part of the drawcard: The Goods Shed is a heritage-listed, roughly 120-year-old former railway building in the Toowoomba CBD, restored as an event space. Entry to the wedding expo is free but ticketed through Eventbrite, and every ticket holder goes into the expo's major prize draw.

Couples planning a Toowoomba or Darling Downs wedding tend to treat this expo as their starting point — a way to see most of the region's suppliers in one visit rather than researching each one separately.

Getting The Most Out Of It

A few ways to make the day less overwhelming.

Bring backup

A second opinion helps — whether that's your partner, your mum, or the friend who always tells you the truth about a dress.

Come prepared to jot things down

Between prize draws, supplier details and expo specials, it's easy to forget who said what by the time you're home. A notes app or small notebook earns its keep.

Talk to as many suppliers as you can

The right fit often comes down to how a supplier makes you feel, not just their portfolio. Ask questions, then take the information home to compare later.

Worth Sorting Beforehand

Most expo decisions can happen on the day. Your nails can't.

You can meet a florist, like their work, and book them on the spot. Nails don't work that way — a proper trial takes a real appointment, time to test shapes and finishes against your dress, and a second visit closer to the date. It's the one part of the day that rewards planning ahead rather than deciding in the moment.

That's why it's worth locking in before the expo, not after: by the time you're comparing venues and florists in person, your hands are already sorted.

Book Your Wedding Nail Trial

Nail Art By Quin

Private, appointment-based wedding nail trials — no expo required.

We won't have a stand at this year's Toowoomba Wedding Expo, but that's exactly why booking ahead matters — trial dates fill fastest in the run-up to expo season, when most Toowoomba brides start locking in suppliers.

A real trial, not a guess

Bring your dress swatch or bouquet photo and test shape, length and finish weeks out — not the week of.

Built around your day

BIAB and acrylic sets designed to hold up through the ceremony, the photos and the reception that follows.

One-on-one, start to finish

No shared stand, no rushed conversation — just your hands and your wedding day, properly thought through.

Common Questions

Toowoomba Wedding Expo: frequently asked questions

When is the Toowoomba Wedding Expo 2026?

The Toowoomba Wedding Expo runs on Sunday 16 August 2026, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at The Goods Shed in the Toowoomba CBD.

Where is the wedding expo in Toowoomba held?

It's held at The Goods Shed, 3 Victoria Street, Toowoomba — a heritage-listed former railway shed that's now a event and function space in the city centre.

Is the Toowoomba Wedding Expo free to attend?

Yes. Entry is free, but tickets are required and are issued via Eventbrite. Holding a ticket also puts you in the running for the expo's major prize draw.

Who organises the Toowoomba Wedding Expo?

The expo is organised by Your Local Wedding Guide, which also runs sister wedding expos in Brisbane, Sydney, Gold Coast and Canberra.

Should I book my nails before or after the expo?

Before. Most expo suppliers — venues, florists, celebrants — can be booked on the spot. A proper bridal nail trial can't, since it needs its own appointment to test shape and finish against your dress ahead of the day. Booking a trial before the expo means it's one less thing to sort while you're comparing everything else. Nail Art By Quin runs private wedding nail trials by appointment, separate from the expo itself.

Before You Go

Sort your nails first — enjoy the rest of the expo knowing that box is ticked.

Trials are booked by appointment and fill early in the run-up to wedding season. Get yours in before the expo crowd does.
